Research

Scientific research is essential for understanding childhood cancer, developing new treatments, and gaining insight into the maintenance of an optimal quality of life. Research in the Máxima Center comprises a broad variety of topics, indications, techniques, and expertise. We strive to share our knowledge among each other and to collaborate with scientists worldwide.

Positive Evaluation of Research in the Máxima

An independent, international committee has evaluated the Research department of the Princess Máxima Center according to the guideline of the Strategic Evaluation Protocol 2021-2027. This elaborate evaluation resulted in a positive report, in which among other the M4C (Máxima Comprehensive Childhood Cancer Center), the team spirit and the mission-oriented culture was applauded. Six recommendations form the fundament for further development in the Research department in the Máxima. A first response was formulated in a position document.
