Fields of interest
Childhood cancer is not just one disease but a collection of many different forms of cancer. At the Máxima Center we distinguish between care and research for blood cancers, solid tumors, brain tumors and quality of life. Read more about each of these fields of interest here.
Diagnosis
To ensure a correct diagnosis, a child with suspected cancer undergoes various tests. They might have a blood or tissue sample taken or have a scan, for example. In the Laboratory for childhood cancer pathology, our analysts and pathologists work together to provide a complete diagnosis of the exact form of childhood cancer.
