Diagnosis

To ensure a correct diagnosis, a child with suspected cancer undergoes various tests. They might have a blood or tissue sample taken or have a scan, for example. In the Laboratory for childhood cancer pathology, our analysts and pathologists work together to provide a complete diagnosis of the exact form of childhood cancer.

Pharmacy

Treatment for children with cancer consists of a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and medication. The pharmacists at the Máxima Center provide all the medications, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The pharmacy also supplies all the medications for home use.
